Its 1:00am, I just got home from laboring on the evening of Labor Day!!! It’s 2 days and 2 nights from now till we open the store- I would calculate the hours but that would scare me and I’m too tired!

We had a great couple of days off-everyone did something different other than work at the store! Well almost everyone…Kathleen & Georgeann did some magic tricks with Mark Roberts Elves and fairies on Sunday & Monday! The elves don’t have their wings yet so they are baking and decorating at the front of the store.

Remember I told you how cute they are with their silly grins & crooked teeth. With little gold trimmed glasses and names like Chester….What’s not to love? And…. the fairies…. Unbelievable!

They, with the help from the floral designers have Decked Their Halls with beautiful wreaths, garlands, and spiral trees. Ferris Wheels and a huge hanging wreath tree! Mark Roberts is going to flip and so will you when you see what we’ve done! However all did go well tonight there are always challenges to overcome and right now it’s where to display all of our bountiful harvest and fall & Thanksgiving merchandise, 32 pairs of Pilgrims & Indians, 18 Turkeys, cornucopias, bumper crops of pumpkins, gourds, & sunflowers, dozens of leaf sprays etc. etc. Will not fit one table! Go figure

So….. We had to move some things to make room.  We’ll make it work and it will look great but I’m thinking maybe some of them will get the swine flu and there won’t be so many to work with tomorrow Ha Ha….but that would be bad cause I’m babbling and I need my rest because a shipment of Trees is coming in the morning and that will mean the warehouse will have to be overhaul to make them all fit~ Oh well “Tis’ The Season”
