Hey!
Last time I wrote I forgot to tell you about two very important people, Tamara whose our Office Manager...She has to do all that office stuff! Yuk and keep Becky and I on track that's a BIG JOB, she even has to type this blog!!! Ha Ha!
The other VIP is Amy who is like a young Becky & Kathy. She is the Queen of ornaments, balls, trees, lighting and back stock and lately she's taking my place on the top of the ladder wiring and hanging extra great merchandise from the rafters! You'll see lots of cool stuff when you look up at Miss Cayce's!
Becky and I are blessed to have exceptionally awesome people who work to make Miss Cayce's be what it is! They all deserve a standing ovation. But right now we're kinda sick of each other...getting this place open is pretty stressful and requires lots of time and energy! It's a good thing to take a break for LABOR DAY! We NEED IT!
We open a week from tomorrow Thursday, Sept. 10th! YEAH! But there is A LOT to do!
We're working on "FROSTY & FRIENDS" at the front if the store..Snowmen, gingerbread, elves, and fairies! Santa and I are growing a forest of pre-lit permanent great looking trees in the window! There's not as much room as I thought either but I just looked at a little buck toothed elf with glasses and laughed! Hopefully by this evening we'll get to the "Mink" theme. The look there is an elegant Silver, platinum, and gold with diamonds, animal print & a mink stole. Don't worry PETA Fans, it just looks real!
We've got this be-jeweled theme against a grey and brown contemporary wallpaper for a spectacular contrast....You'll just have to see it! I hope the shipment if tree's comes in today because I have a special flocked Oregon tree I want to dress up!
Merchandise Tip- Chains & stackable tubs! The ceiling might fall down but it will be held by the towers of stackable tubs in every area! Did I mention we have a lot of stuff!
